kim zolciakAnother day, another Real Housewife listing. “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak is trying to sell off her three-bedroom townhouse in Duluth, Georgia. Zolciak is currently pregnant and engaged to professional football player Kroy Biermann. She listed the home back in 2009 for $568,700 but the home is now listed at $499,000. The Real Estalker reports that Zolciak bought the home in 2006 for $486,000.

Sometimes in celebrity listings we might see images of the celeb around the house, this listing has plenty of those but also shows Zolciak herself posed in her bedroom. The listing says the townhouse has had every upgrade possible and includes a small patio with an outdoor waterfall. The master bedroom is accented with tones of bordello red and gold but the other two bedrooms are done up in princess pink for Zolciak’s two daughters.

The ridiculously extravagant Atlanta home of real estate developer, Lee Najjar, Zolciak’s rumored “Big Poppa” ex-boyfriend mentioned on past seasons has lingered on the market. It was once for sale for $25 million but is now listed at $22.5 million.

A Product From Porsche Design: The Lean BriefBag Brings Order To The Workplace

Here is another product from Porsche Design in Zell am See, Austria. Originally created for Porsche Design business consultants, who must be the most organized people on earth, this product became accessible to the rest of us just last week. The price is $570.00, and this is without the VAT tax, which in Germany, runs between 7-19% of the total price –a bargain for people whose briefcases are repositories for odd receipts, napkins, gum wrappers, and the like.

Called the Porsche Design P2150 2.2 Lean BriefBag, it was created on the lean management principle, whose goal is avoid all kinds of wasted space. In this case, the idea is to allow only what is actually needed to be placed inside the BriefBag. My long-deceased grandmother always used to say, A place for everything, and everything in its place. Had she been alive today, she might have worked for The Porsche Design studio, because if anything defines their lean principle, this old saying does.

I have real idea what Dr. Dre is doing these days. However, one of the things he seems to be up to is putting his name on high-end audio equipment such as headphones and speakers - including this Beatbox speaker system for your iPod, iPhone, or other portable audio device. Since the advent of the iPod the portable speaker system has enjoyed a venerable golden age. They have come in each and every style, color, and set of functions to best utilize native features found in iPods or alike devices. By themselves such speaker systems do nothing, but combined with a “DAP” (digital audio player), they have more or less put the final nail in the coffin of most high-end audio equipment. The world has spoken, and they want their songs played on an iPod, but crappy white ear buds simply won’t always do the trick. This is where people like “Dr. Dre” seem to come in.

The Beatbox is an attractive long wedge-shaped bar with four speakers in the front, and a familiar docking station on the top. It There is also an easy to miss power button and volume knob, as well as one the Beatbox’s best design features - a carrying handle. On the back you’ll also find a handy audio-in 3.5mm jack (for people who don’t use iPods/iPhones). A system like this is good for parties or your own personal enjoyment when wanting to make the most out of music trapped in your gadgets.

As a high-end marquee watch for women, Cartier will unveil this Troubillon & Crocodile timepiece at the SIHH watch show in January. I didn’t know that Cartier had a thing for reptiles, I thought it was just big cats. Times change I guess. Not a ton of details on the watch yet. I don’t know how large the case is, or what material it is in. Though I am guessing a case size of at least 40mm in width, and done in 18k white gold.

The case is decorated with a number of diamonds, and the fantastically rendered 3D crocodile on the dial is also in gold and diamonds. What a stunning jewelry creation. It sits on a black dial accompanied with a few lotus flowers. Inside the watch is a partially exposed in-house made Cartier calibre 9458 MC manually wound movement with a flying tourbillon. The movement is placed to the side of the dial for an asymmetrical position. The Tourbillon & Crocodile won’t be part of a limited edition per se, but will likely be made only to order after a few pieces are made by Cartier. More info on this next year.

chateau mouton rothschildShowcasing just how important the Chinese wine market is when it comes to Bordeaux, Chateau Mouton Rothschild has chosen Chinese painter Xu Lei as the artist to create the wine label for the 2008 vintage. Xu is artistic director of Today Art Museum in Beijing. His label is an ink drawing with the Mouton symbol, a ram standing between two halves of the moon covered with vines and grapes. The label represents wine as a bridge between two hemispheres. The choice of a Chinese artist has driven up the price of the 2008 vintage. Decanter reports that prices went up 20% overnight on the back of the announcement, and the wine is currently trading at around £10,000 per case. The bottle also bears the Chinese symbol for the figure eight, a symbol that is considered to be auspicious.

The Mouton Rothschild Artists label has featured a variety of artists such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Francis Bacon, Andy Warhol, Lucien Freud and Prince Charles. Check out some examples in the gallery below.

Valentino Crystal-Embellished Feather Clutch
2010 may have been a tough year in a lot of ways, but it was a terrific year for handbags. From divinely sparkling clutches to totes in unheard-of textures, designers were inventive, creative and finally took some risks again — a sure sign of an improving economy. We’re celebrating the return to flamboyance and daring style with a list of our top ten favorites from this year’s outstanding Luxist Handbag of the Day collection.

1.
Valentino Crystal-Embellished Feather Clutch

Let’s begin with the ethereal, exquisite bag above, the Valentino Crystal-Embellished Feather Clutch. These little birdies outdid even the Judith Lieber Enchanted Stardust Clutch with their whimsical glamour, and the feathers are so elegantly and daintily assembled, the clutch eclipsed the ballerina charm of the Valentino Tulle Rosette Bag. We love the coloring; it’s as if each perfect feather has been gingerly dipped in the blackest of ink. The pale pink satin structure and lining complete the dream-come-true wonder of this masterful handbag which commanded $4,170.00.

Burberry Nylon ToteI have a personal penchant for bags that aren’t made of leather (I know, call me crazy) and although this Burberry Nylon Tote has leather trim it makes it into the “my favorite casual day bags” group with ease. Available in six different colors, including several rich jewel tones and a couple spunky neutrals, it’s a fairly basic tote design but with a little extra personality in the form of adjustable drawstring sides with extra long strings. It has double top handles, a zip-top closure, and of course the iconic Burberry checks are all over the interior lining along with one zip pocket. A steal at just $250.

Talk is cheap, or so says Chad Rogers, who is as much a realty rock star these days as he is a real estate agent. He likes the “talk is cheap” phrase so well that he has had it emblazoned on tee-shirts — that he sells off his website. Yes, he has a website store for Chad products.

Truth is, in between posting Twitter and Facebook photos of his seemingly endless red carpet walks and attendance at movie premieres, Chad Rogers actually does sell homes — about $65 million worth thus far this year. And he’s quick to point out that the year isn’t over yet. He’s an associate in the prestigious boutique agency of Hilton & Hyland Real Estate in Beverly Hills.

“This has been my best year to date,” said the baby-faced Rogers, who looks well younger than his 33 years. Rogers acknowledges that he carefully cultivated becoming a celebrity personality in the national real estate market. He works the social media circuit like a pro and has built up a following that he stays in touch with at least daily. And of course, his multiple seasons on Bravo’s hit series, “Million Dollar Listing,” brought him into the living rooms of more than a million viewers each episode. Without question, of the three featured agents, his role was the quirkiest.

Rogers had story lines about getting $600 haircuts and ordering $700 cakes bearing his likeness to serve at open houses. He also propelled his chihuahua, Starla, into stardom along with himself. He carries Starla with him everywhere and the dog has her own Twitter and Facebook fan pages. Rogers, as viewers learned, is an obsessive compulsive neat-freak, fluffing up couch pillows and finger-dusting the smallest crevice.

Rogers grew up in Malibu assuming that he would one day work in his father’s business of owning and developing mobile home parks across the country. His dad had other ideas and set some tough bars for him to cross: Get a Realtor’s license, get through college with nothing less than straight A’s, and then maybe, the young Chad was told. With a Realtor’s license under his belt and a perfect GPA, Chad was sent to work one college summer in his dad’s mobile home park in Apopka Florida.

JeanRichard is a brand in the Sowind Group and thus related to Girard-Perregaux. JeanRichard tends to offer more sporty (at least in the US) watches compared to GP, and certainly and slight better values. Though both brands have their fare share of classy timepieces as well as activity themed ones. The Diverscope has the mainstay of JeanRichard’s dive-themed watch collection for a while and is really a fantastic timepiece. I would go so far as to say that it is an under-appreciated timepiece in terms of its popularity versus design and quality. So if you want a good looking sport watch that is dive themed, offers something unique, has a high-pedigree, and not everyone else has…. then a JeanRichard Diverscope is a good option.

Coming up is this all titanium version of the watch - being the most “military” in style of the whole range. The 43mm wide case (also 43mm tall) is done in a sand-blasted titanium, and the color of the inner rotating bezel and dial has been made to match the titanium color. Attached to the watch is an anthracite gray fabric strap that is neat looking as paired with the almost cushion style of the case. Case is water resistant to 300 meters.

Being very easy to read, the Diverscope dials are an interesting mix of style and legibility. Detailing is really impressive, and the subtle uses of colors on the dials is impressive. Inside each JeanRichard Diverscope watch is an in-house made JR1000 automatic movement. The downside of Diverscope watches? Probably the price. These aren’t flashy watches, but with their in-house movements, the modern Diverscope models are way above $5,000 in price.

piper-heidsieck champagneBooze brand Rémy Cointreau has put its Piper-Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck Champagne brands up for sale in a deal which could raise as much as 450 million euros. Possible suitors for the brands include other drinks conglomerates such as Diageo and Pernod Ricard but a private equity group could also snap up the champagne seller. Decanter reports that Piper has never been profitable in the 20 years that Rémy Cointreau has owned it. While Piper president Anne-Charlotte Amory has spent the past few years trying to build the brand, the global recession chipped away at sales and the brand cut 45 jobs earlier this year.
