Diane Von Furstenberg has come up with a lovely evening look with this Lytton Miniaudiere box clutch in a shimmering gray and black zebra pattern on stingray-effect leather. The hardware is gunmetal gray and the clutch’s top-clasp closure is shaped like a small branch. It also has a delicate rope-style chain handle and is lined in dark navy satin with one interior pocket. It seems like everything animal-print is leopard lately so this bag could be a nice way to switch things up while keeping current and paying homage to your exotic side. $325

An auction of 11 luxury homes located throughout Park City, Utah is scheduled for August 27th. Accelerated Marketing Partners is holding the nation’s largest residential sealed-bid auction with a total of nearly $80 million in property up for grabs. Published minimum reserves for the homes range from $1.495 million to $15.875 million and represent an up to 54 percent reduction in price. These are lavish estates, several have ski-in/ski-out access and overlook resort communities or are located in golf communities. The estates are being sold by motivated individuals who are ready to commit to the highest bidder.
“As the nation’s largest sealed-bid, published reserve auction, this watershed event offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for prospective buyers around the country to purchase preeminent mountain homes at unbeatable prices,” said Ken Stevens, west coast CEO and co-founder of Accelerated Marketing Partners. “As we have seen through our previous highly successful Park City sales, Lookout at Deer Valley and Silver Strike Lodge at Empire Pass, savvy buyers are out there, waiting for an opportunity to purchase luxury estates at price points they are comfortable with, and they determine.”
The property shown above is DeerField Estate, a 15,000-square-foot estate developed by builder Eustace W. Mita of Achristavest, LLC. It was previously the highest listed property in all of Deer Crest and the fourth highest in all of Deer Valley when it was taken off the market a year ago at $28.975 million. The estate has seven suites, a private gondola for ski-in/ski-out access, indoor swimming pool, billiards, theater, family room with open truss cathedral ceilings and a wine room with 18th Century French cast-iron doors. The published reserve for DeerField Estate is $15.875 million, 54 percent less than the previous asking.

Guess who showed up at Tag Heuer’s party in Malibu recently? Tesla Motors founder Elon Musk. His appearance makes sense given Tag Heuer and Tesla’s recent partnership in creating a special Tag Heuer branded Tesla Roadster car as part of their Odyssey of Pioneers campaign. The all-electric Tesla sports car for Tag Heuer has traveled all over the world so far, and has now made an appearance in California. Below you can see images of the decked-out Tesla Roadster with lots of carbon fiber, complete with a mechanical Heuer stopwatch in the cabin. A very cool car, and a sign of how the two brands feel enough corporate cohesion to work together.
Elon Musk is seen here showing off his brand new Tag Heuer Monaco watch. A classic staple for Tag Heuer, the Monaco has always been one of its biggest sellers. Musk is standing next to Ulrich Wohn, CEO and President of Tag Heuer North America. I’ll keep track on Tesla and Tag Heuer to see what conspires between them in the future!

Artya has been back at the benches and watch torture machines making new artistic novelties for the world to enjoy. The new collection takes their fascination with electronic componentry further by thoroughly mixing them in with mechanical movements. The result are a few new totally unique watches that are also, piece uniques (meaning that only one of each will ever be produced). Even an artist can’t ever replicate their own art exactly…
The watches feature the “tesla shocked” cases that Artya is known for, as well as the signature toad skin strap that Yvan Arpa (founder and owner of Artya) likes to use. Each case is 47mm wide in steel, and chemically colored. The resulting case and dials look like Christmas ornaments at Dr. Demento’s house. The cases get the way they are by literally being shocked with lightning (produced by the Tesla coils).
As you can see, the dials look like someone rummaged through parts at a local Radio Shack that was closing down. Though I don’t think that franchise made it to Geneva. All sorts of wires, capacitators, coils, etc.. are used to create the colorful, artistic look. Either you hate it or you love it, but the watches are extremely unique and certainly make a statement. The movements are Swiss ETA automatics that have been skeletonized and decorated in that… unique manner. The Artya Tesla Squelette Quadri-Rotor watches are a creative furtherance of the Artya philosophy and aesthetic.

Billionaires entertain themselves differently than everyone else, case in point at St Tropez last week when two partying tycoons got into a competition over who could rack up the highest champagne bill. The competitors were Malaysian billionaire Zhen Low, little brother to the more famous Jho Low, and Winston Fisher of the prominent New York real-estate family. The competition to see who could order more £600 bottles of Cristal took place at Les Caves du Roy nightclub and the winning bar tab, belonging to Zhen Low, came out to be a whopping £1.77 million ($2.6 million). That’s a lot of champagne.
And among the guests witnessing the competition and helping Low to celebrate his win was none other than the infamous Paris Hilton who has been spotted all around St. Tropez this summer with her sister Nicky.

Actor James Marsden has been making the rounds this week with the opening of his latest movie “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.” Marsden also appears to be on the move. The Real Estalker reported earlier this week that Marsden and his wife Lisa Linde have put their Nashville, Tennessee home on the market. Marsden has had roles in the X-Men movies as well as “Enchanted” and “27 Dresses.”
The couple bought their home in the Forest Hills area of Nashville for $780,000 in 20008. The 1970s brick-faced split level ranch house has been extensively renovated. The Real Estalker reports that the home is on the same street as the home of Al and Tipper Gore. The four-bedroom home is on 2.15 acres and has been opened up to create a more Hollywood-friendly space with a large kitchen and flow between all the rooms. The large white master bedroom has walk-in closets and a sliding glass door leading to a small deck. The home has been blandly staged to showcase the home’s clean lines. It is listed at $1.399 million.

Nowadays, of course, these ubiquitous shirts are commonly used to express the wearer’s taste in art or music, their political views or their fondness for bad jokes. While T-shirts are usually relatively cheap, sometimes they become collector’s items and enter the ranks of […]
